Gas Workspace Heater Support

Fan does not turn when electrical connection is made

1. No electric power to heater.
2. Fan black contacts inside of heater housing.
3. Fan blade(s) bent.
4. Fan motor defective.

1. Check current to electric outlet. If voltage is correct, check power cord and extension cord for cuts and breaks.
2. Be sure that housing is not damaged.
3. Straighten blade(s) to match others.
4. Replace with OEM motor.

Heater will not fire.

1. No spark at ignitor.
2. Improper spark gap.
3. Bad electrode.

1. Check ignitor wire. Re-attach or tighten if loose. Check spark module. Replace if necessary.
2. Set gap to 0.16"
3. Replace with OEM Spark Plug.

Heater quits while running.

1. Internal temperature too high causing limit switch to shut down operations.
2. Damage control valve.
3. Dust or debris build-up inside of heater.

1. If the heater output is restricted, internal temperature becomes too high. Move heater away from any obstructions.
2. Replace with OEM control valve.
3. Clean inside of heater.

Burner Fails to Light

1. Propane supply valve close don propane tank(s).
2. Excess-flow check valve closed.
3. Blockage in burner nozzle.
4. Piezo ignition system not sparking.

1. Open propane supply valve slowly.
2. Close propane supply valve on propane tank and reopen slowly.
3. Replace burner nozzle.
4. Check to assure ignitor electrode dap is .195". Check wire lead for damage.

Burner lights but goes out when automatic control valve button is released

1. Not enough warm up time.
2. Low gas pressure
3. Thermocouple loose or needs to be replaced.
4. Tip switch engaged.
5. Automatic control valve needs to be replaced.

1. Relight, hold automatic control valve button in 45 seconds.
2. Check propane tank(s) for proper gas supply.
3. Tighten connection or replace thermocouple.
4. Reset the tip switch.
5. Replace automatic control valve.

Burn Rate Is Low

1. Main burner valve not fully open.
2. Plugged gas orifices.
3. Low gas pressure.
4. Low fuel supply.

1. Fully open main burner valve by turning control knob towards HIGH position until it stops.
2. Replace gas orifice.
3. Check gas supply; check regulator output.
4. Consult propane gas supplier.

Unit will not light:

1. Valve on propane cylinder not open.
2. Propane cylinder empty.
3. Regulator not in "High" position.
4. Excess flow device triggered.
5. Defective Regulator.

1. Open cylinder valve by turning counterclockwise.
2. Have cylinder refilled.
3. Turn regulator to "High" position.
4. Close cylinder valve, wait 5 minutes and reopen slowly.
5. Replace with OEM regulator assembly.

Burner will not stay lit when gas valve plunger released:

1. Wiring of thermocouple
2. Defective thermocouple
3. Defective gas valve

1. Check wiring connections are properly engaged.
2. Replace with OEM thermocouple.
3. Replace with OEM gas valve assembly.

Excessive flames coming out of burner, not glowing red.:

1. Debris or spider webs in mixing tube or burner.
2. Clogged orifice

1. Clean burner tube with bottle brush, rinse in water and drain thoroughly before re-installing.
2. Remove and clean using compressed air.

Piezo won't spark. (Some models only):

1. Defective piezo
2. Ignitor misaligned with Thermocouple shield
3. Wire frayed or damaged.

1. Replace with OEM piezo
2. Realign ignitor with thermocouple shield.
3. Replace with OEM wire.

Flames flashback/burn inside the mixing tube:

1. Debris or spider webs in mixing tube.
2. Clogged orifice

1. Clean burner tube with bottle brush, rinse in water and drain thoroughly before reintsalling.
2. Remove and clean using compressed air.
